   Tweak Revisited 2 is a utility that provides access to functions,
settings and information in Windows 95 and 98. There are many
useful "tweaks" that are normally obscure and difficult to access in Windows.
Most are also not available with TweakUI.
   
  Version 2 of Tweak Revisited adds more options for most settings. 
It also has several new settings and several information functions.

Functions:

All functions have a small blue-purple button nearby that provides info. about the function.
There is also a Help menu on the toolbar with general info.

(NEW) File info - Adds a right-click menu item, "File Info". 
Use it to get information about the filetype (extension). Over 70 filetypes listed.

Splash screens - Replace the Windows picture at startup and shutdown.

(NEW) Wallpaper - Change wallpaper with any BMP or JPG file.
 Also set wallpaper style, including "stretch", not normally available in Win95.

System Properties Picture - Change or install picture. Fix a malfunctioning picture. 
(NEW) Change Sys. Prop. window text.

Icon display depth and size settings.

Add or remove Start Menu items.

Change Windows icons.
 (NEW) No rebooting necessary. TR2 can also "rebuild" icons that are displaying wrong.

Assign icons to individual folders.

Put a Control Panel item on the Start Menu.

Change registered owner and company settings. 
Get your installation code for reinstalling Windows.

Right-click functions:
 Open with Notepad for all files.
 Open with ...any program, for all files.
 QuickView for all files.
(NEW) Edit "Send To" menu; add links, delete links, make submenus.

(NEW) Add or delete shortcuts from the Quick Launch toolbar.

View all bitmap files as icons.
 (The files in folders will display as mini versions of the picture inside.)

Choose single pane or split/treeview display in folders.

Change the Internet Explorer title bar text.

Put a picture on folder toolbars.

Cookie manager - view cookies and delete as desired.

Get size of TEMP folder and clean it out.

Folder links - put links in folder windows that go to other folders.
 (NEW) Choose font face and size for folder window text.

(NEW) Startup manager - View a list of programs set to run at startup and change the settings.

(NEW) Version info. - Get version numbers for software and drivers.
(These are often hard to find but needed when you go looking for updates.)

(NEW) Set usage restrictions for other users and/or set a password for access to Tweak Revisited 2.

Other changes in v. 2:

* HTML format for Help has been discontinued, eliminating the conflict with Internet Explorer 3.
* Elimination of problems with unusual system folder paths. 

Sample icons come with the program. In Program Files\Tweak Revisited 2 you should find
a file "icons.zip". Open it with any zip file utility to extract the icons and a sample picture for
the System Properties window.

INSTALLATION:

  If an earlier version of Tweak Revisited is installed it should be uninstalled before proceeding.

To install, just double-click the enclosed .exe file.
This program is written in Visual Basic 6. If you don't have the VB6 'Runtime Files'
on your computer then when you run Tweak Revisited you'll get an error message that
MSVBVM60.DLL is missing.
